Tuesday Thoughts

Isn't this a beautiful covered bridge? It puts me in mind of Bridges of Madison County, one of my favorite movies.

In the past week I knit 2 more baby hats and gave them to my DIL without remembering to take a picture of them first. Ahh well, too much going on at once.

I should confess that I haven't been very faithful to my unfinished project knitting. They are not going to go away, not that I want them to, but why do I keep avoiding them? This has to stop and I must get on with the 2 at hand waiting patiently for completion. It's been a good feeling though, to be using my stash yarn for caps, etc. and not buying anything new for the longest time. It's also a great feeling when I complete a project I began long ago.....I hate to begin something and not finish it and since I've been guilty of that , it's about time I focus on: complete, complete, complete.

I have some beautiful things in the works using various, soft, lovely yarns to knit them with so it's not like I hate working with any particular one. I guess I just want to finish it "yesterday" and that's not going to happen. So, my credo will be the one I heard from a fellow knitter, "the pleasure is in the process", which is a good thing to remember for just about anything we do in this lifetime. Instead of running around trying to get the most done in the shortest amount of time, I should RELAX and experience the pleasure in each individual thing.....the pleasure in the process! :)

So, I'll leave you with that thought for today and wish all of you a lovely week filled with much joy, peace, and wonderful knitting.

That's a great bridge picture ... reminds me of a picture I have hanging in my guest room! Only you have the real thing! I love the sentiment of the "Pleasure is in the process" - how true that is.

The pleasure is definately in the process.

Yep = my motto is "love the yarn I have" and I've been enjoying it now exclusively, since January 1 this year.

Laura,
that's a beautiful picture of a bridge. I too like Bridges of Madison County. Good to know you are enjoying knitting hats and using up your yarn stash.
hugs,

Hats are great for stash. I do one every now and then for Mum as she wears them all the time.
