Autumn is Quickly Fading

Wow, the time has been flying by and we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving, followed even more quickly by Christmas! Yikes, I'm not ready for the holidays to be arriving so darned soon. The lovely bush above is right off of our patio and since I took this picture about 2 weeks ago, all of the gorgeous leaves are now all gone. The fall goes by in a wink because most of it seems more like summer to me.

Here is a picture of the scant progress I've made on Matty's Christmas stocking. Thinking I had scads of time, I've been working more steadily on a pair of socks (below) for my mother for Christmas using her very favorite yarn for them which is Schoeller & Stahl's Limbo Mexiko Color in color # 2595. This yarn was so hard to find and I am beside myself now because I've run out of it and I'm not finished the socks yet! If anyone reading this happens to have one skein of this color, I would love to buy it from you and I'll even pay the postage, so if you have it please email me or leave me a comment. I'll be ever so grateful.

These are the only two projects I've been working on for Christmas gifts but I would love to begin a sweater for one of my granddaughters but I know I won't have enough time to finish it if I do. However, my sweet Anna's birthday is in February so I may try to complete one for her as one of her presents then.
